Work Overview
Hectic Turmeric is one in a family of works composed during the Covid-19 pandemic under the collective title 'Hectic Resonance'. The short compositions are characterised by rapid interlocking rhythms between physically distant musicians whose notes never touch. This realisation of the work is for soprano saxophone and violin, however, the concept may be realised by any two similar sounding instruments, with each new version earning a new botanical title chosen by the performers.
