Library shelf no. 785.912/RIC 1 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
Hectic Ras El Hanout is one in a family of works composed during the Covid-19 pandemic under the collective title 'Hectic Resonance'. The short compositions are characterised by rapid interlocking rhythms between physically distant musicians whose notes never touch. This version of the work features two clarinis, unique reed instruments designed and built by Linsey Pollak. However, the concept may be realised by any two similar sounding instruments, with each new version earning a new botanical title chosen by the performers.
