Violist, conductor, and one of the most internationally performed composers of his generation, Brett Dean joins the University of Adelaide’s new music ensemble-in-residence, Soundstream Collective, in an all-Australian program including Richard Meale’s iconic and magical sextet Incredible Floridas. Also featured are two of Dean’s favourite Australian contemporary composers, Anthony Pateras and James Ledger, as well as Dean’s Sextet: Old Kings in Exile.
The Australian Program to include: Brett Dean Sextet: Old Kings in Exile (2010), Anthony Pateras Broken, Then Fixed, Then Broken (2009), Richard Meale Incredible Floridas (1971), and James Ledger Sextet.
