Toronto Symphony Orchestra's New Creations Festival kicks off with an intriguing program that includes a mesmerizing work by Australian composer Anthony Pateras that combines wind instruments, percussion, electronics, and celeste. In a rare act of creative/re-creative artistry, Festival curator Brett Dean performs the solo part in his own exciting and fascinating Viola Concerto.
