Muses Trio and Friends return to Plant Empire after their sellout season for Anywhere Festival earlier this year, and expand for an exclusive Fringe Brisbane show of enlivening music by women composers. Christa Powell and Therese Milanovic (Muses Trio) are joined by fantastic guest performers from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (Rebecca Seymour, violin, Nicole Greentree, viola) and Ensemble Q (Trish O’Brien, cello). The program will showcase a dreamy Dulcie Holland duo from the past, a lyrical world-premiere trio (Anne Cawrse, AUS), a fresh Australian premiere quartet (Caroline Shaw, US), and ascend still higher with a show-stopping piano quintet by Elena Kats-Chernin (AUS). Music to inspire and energise in the evocative Plant Empire event space, with coffee, wine and treats for sale. Stay after the shows, mingle with the artists and enjoy the space, or settle in for the night and enjoy the second set with Muses Maleny teen sensation Pearl and the Doodads at 9pm.
