2013 Screen Music Awards - nominees

The list of nominees for the 2013 Screen Music Awards, made public on Thursday, includes the work of many AMC-represented artists. The nominees for the Best Soundtrack Album include Piotr Nowotnik (for The Journey) and Richard Tognetti and Michael Yezerski (for Storm Surfers 3D). Lisa Gerrard was nominated in the Feature Film Score of the Year category (for Samsara, with De Francisi and Stearns), while Amanda Brown and Burkhard Dallwitz's music for Red Obsession made the shortlist for the Best Music for a Documentary. Dallwitz's Underbelly music was also shortlisted in the Television Series/Serial category.

Drew Crawford's theme for The Checkout was shortlisted in the Best Television Theme category. Guy Gross's work for the ABC telemovie Dangerous Remedy was nominated for the Best Music for a Mini-Series or Telemovie - the shortlist also included Cezary Skubiszewski's music for The Mystery of a Hansom Cab. David Hirschfelder and Ric Formosa were both shortlisted in the Most Performed Screen Composer (Overseas) category.

The 2013 Screen Music Awards ceremony will take place in Sydney on Monday, 9 December, presented by APRA AMCOS and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC).
