Amanda Brown has been composing for stage and screen since 2000. Her feature film credits include Here Out West, Babyteeth, Son of a Lion, Look Both Ways and Somersault. Feature documentaries Amanda has composed for include Brazen Hussies, The Family and Step Into Paradise (with Nick Wales).
In 2019 Amanda won the Soundtrack Stars Critics Prize at the Venice Film Festival for Babyteeth in addition to AACTA Awards in 2020 for Babyteeth and Brazen Hussies.
Prior to her composition career, Amanda was a multi-instrumentalist in several bands, best known as a member of cherished Australian independent band the Go-Betweens, with whom she toured the world and recorded two albums, Tallulah and 16 Lovers Lane. She has also recorded and performed with artists including R.E.M., silverchair, The Vines, Youth Group, Josh Pyke, The Church, David Bridie and Toni Collette and the Finish.
