Instrumentation: 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets in B flat, 2 bassoons, 4 horns in F, 2 trumpets in C, 2 tenor trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion (1 player), strings, didjeridu.

The work was originally conceived as part of a project devoted to the seventy-fifth anniversary, in 2003, of the West Australian Symphony. In 2005, the music was extended to almost twice its length and a didjeridu part was added. This was done especially for the celebration, in 2006, of the bicentenary of the City of Launceston.
