Library shelf no. 783.165542/LYO 1 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
Verse re-rhymes was composed in response to The Adolph Spivakovsky Scholarship for 2009. The work is a cappella for five voices and aims to use the voice as a percussive as well as melodic instrument. The text is derived from various nursery rhymes that are either presented in part or full and are accompanied by related words. The placement of rhymes is based on text and mood, which progresses from innocent through to the more sinister.
