Work Overview
Wall of Flames is inspired by the extraordinary photographs of the families who escaped bushfire by entering the water at the end of the jetty in Dunalley, Tasmania, during the bushfires of 2013. The January 2020 bushfires in Victoria and New South Wales saw people once again heading towards the water as the flames approached. My extended family was evacuated from Broulee NSW. Fortunately they were unharmed and property undamaged, but my heart goes out to the people and places less fortunate.
