Work

Phosphorescence : for viola quartet

by Noemi Liba Friedman (2022)

Work Overview

In this work, phosphorescence refers to a sparkling luminosity emitted by living organisms in the ocean (bioluminescence), in intermittent glowing specks when the water is stimulated. The experiences expressed in Phosphorescence recall superb and soul-stirring moments, speaking of how beautiful, vigorous and alive our planet is when we look at it up close.
