Work

No One Could Relax around Jezebel (soprano with percussion)

by Andrew Ford (2017)

Work Overview

This piece is perhaps best thought of as music theatre, though there is no 'action' as such. I first read Anne Carson's poems in the London Review of Books and they immediately suggested a soprano voice competing with a jangly percussive noise. The poems are used by kind permission of the poet.
