Work Overview

Australian composer David W Pyke received an RADF from Mackay Regional Council in 2004 to compose a full symphonic work ,the first in existence, about Australia's iconic Great Barrier Reef. David was at the time just from a stint working part time as a Divemaster on Hardy Reef of the Whitsundays Islands. Now with increasing public interest in ocean and reef sustainability and health and the challenges of global warming and bleaching, David is striving to record the work and collaborate with multimedia artists to realise this work for an ongoing global showcase. Calls for interest are now current in established artists to express interest in collaboration once the music is recorded.
