Instrumentation: 2 flutes, 2 oboes, cor anglais (optional), 2 clarinets in B flat, 2 bassoons, contra-bassoon, 4 horns in F (3rd and 4th optional), 3 trumpets in B flat, 2 trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion, harp (or keyboard), organ, SATB choir, strings. At least one double bass with a C extension is required.
