Work

Pluvio Files (2) : for any solo, duo or trio of most instrumentation, with fixed audio/visual media

by Noemi Liba Friedman (2021)

Work Overview

This work is a sister piece to Pluvio Files (1) and can be performed separately, or subsequent to the first work, based on a pictorial-graphic/notation hybrid score.

The fixed multimedia element is compiled from audio and visual content from a call-out to people across the world during the 2020 rolling global lockdowns resulting from the Covid 19 pandemic. It communicates our yearning for the natural world, for each other, recognising anew our innate need for connectivity, challenged, at the time, by closed borders and the walls between us.

The live instrumental component of this piece serves to both illuminate the journey of our Souls at this time and weaves threads of connection between us, and a pathway back to our better selves.
