Summary: 'Night and dreams': In London at the beginning of World War II, Sigmund Freud sits and dreams, listening to the music of his compatriot Schubert. The composer borrows vocal lines and accompanimental figures from Schubert. Near death, Freud analyses his dreams. Libretto: Margaret Morgan. Features Gerald English as Sigmund Freud ; Ian Munro: piano ; Marshall McGuire: harp ; Alice Giles: electroacoustic harp. Based on the Adelaide Festival 2000 production by Music Theatre Sydney, directed by George Whaley.
