Lament for Antoniou was composed in July 2020, in memory of leading Greek composer Theódoros Andoníou, who passed away in December 2018 at the age of 83. My lament is loosely based on the Mixolydian tonos, as a way of acknowledging the composer's exploration of ancient Greek music.
