Instrumentation: Soprano solo, baritone solo, semichorus (SSATBB), double choir (SATBSATB), 2 flutes (both doubling piccolo), alto flute (doubling piccolo), 2 oboes, cor anglais, 2 clarinets in B flat (2nd doubling bass clarinet), bassoon, contra-bassoon, 4 horns in F, 4 trumpets in C, 2 tenor trombones, bass trombone, tuba, percussion (3 players), harp, strings.
