These 6 interludes were written to accompany a live book reading of Nick Earls's short story, 'All Those Ways of Leaving'. They may also be played in their in their own right. If performed with the narration, as in the premiere, a text sectionalisation plan is available form the composer and permission would need to be sought from the author, Nick Earls.

Leaving (it’s almost summer) (clarinet, bassoon) -- V. Another thing finished (soprano, horn, piano)  -- VI. The golden rope (escape) (full ensemble).
