Event Details
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert offers all Australians an opportunity to celebrate Her Majesty’s lifetime of dutiful service to the Commonwealth of Australia. The concert features the world-class choirs of St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane and St Andrew’s Cathedral, Sydney, as well as the John Coulton Brass and organist Andrej Kouznetsov, performing works by Australian and British composers, including Bax, Judith Weir, Richard Mills, Brenton Broadstock, Alexander Voltz and others. The Hon. Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO opens the concert with a short address honouring Her Majesty. The concert’s proceeds will be donated to Australian Red Cross, to support Australians battling emergencies.
