Event Details
Featuring three of Australia's rising stars, BMF young artists Jemima Drews, Dario Scalabrini, and Andre Oberleuter step into the spotlight with a vastly contrasting array of works featuring wind instruments. Venturing through states of extroversion in Weber's 'Grand Duo', playful lyricism in Koechlin's 'Sonata', the earthly ritualistic swirls of Jolivet, and the gorgeous perfection of Schubert, the music then turns homeward to the works of three Australian composers.
Weber 'Grand duo Concertante'
Koechlin 'Sonata for Bassoon and Piano'
Jolivet 'Chant de Linos'
Schubert 'Shepherd on the Rock'
Dulcie Holland 'Coomera'
Alexander Voltz 'Rhapsody for flute + piano' (world premiere)
Peggy Glanville-Hicks 'Concertino da camera'
Featured non-Australian music: Weber, Jolivet, Koechlin, Schubert
