Under the baton of conductor Michael Morgan, the Conservatorium Chamber Orchestra perform a programme celebrating Colin Brumby’s and Betty Beath’s 80th birthdays.
Mozart: Overture to Empresario
Brumby: Mediterranean Suite for Strings
Beath: Gambar Gambar Jawa (four songs)
Haydn: Symphony No.104
Established in 2001, the Queensland Conservatorium Chamber Orchestra has been exploring the rich repertoire of the Baroque and Classical eras. This ensemble complements the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra, which has a reputation for powerful performances. Both ensembles are directed by our resident conductor, Michael Morgan who, since arriving in Australia in 1999, has had a major impact on the development of musical life in Brisbane.
