FOUNDATION IHOS AMSTERDAM presents:
For the first time in Sydney, the energetic and dynamic Paris based Ondes Martenot performer Nadia Ratsimandresy. A solo recital featuring one of the most distinctive and mysterious instruments of the twentieth century.
You’ve probably heard the ethereal voice of this early electronic instrument in Olivier Messiaen’s symphonic music, in the TV series Thunderbirds, in film scores including Ghostbusters, The Revenant and countless horror and sci-fi movies, in popular recordings of Edith Piaf or on Radiohead’s 2000 album Kid A.
