Event Details
This concert is a blissfully adventurous mix of musical styles. Young Australian Elizabeth Younan brings an edgy spark with her remarkable work for Arcadia Winds, while her compatriot Martin Wesley-Smith is represented by two of his most celebrated works, in dynamic combinations of live and recorded sound. Straight from the French Jazz Age, Poulenc’s toe-tapping Sextet has a classical clarity that sits comfortably alongside Mozart’s mellow Horn Quintet and Beethoven’s gorgeous Cello Sonata.
