Event Details

Husband and wife guitarists Duo Agostino and Sydney cellist and Music Educator, Rachel Scott, perform “More Consonance”, a celebration of Baroque masters, JS Bach and Vivaldi, with brilliant arrangements and original works by Australian composers Charlton and Houghton, and British guitarist, Lindsey-Clark for Wyvern Music Forestville at OLGC Catholic Church Forestville on Sunday 17th November at 4pm.

Cellist Rachel Scott, of the well-known Bach in the Dark series, and beloved classical guitarists Janet and Raffael Agostino – each celebrated artists in their own right – have been collaborating and delighting audiences for years. In 2018 they released the CD “Consonance” under the “Bach in the Dark” label. Raffaele and Janet Agostino have been active in the Sydney Classical Guitar scene over the last three decades, beginning with the founding of the Sydney Guitar Quartet in 1981. In 1996, they formed the Sydney Guitar Trio with fellow guitarist and composer Richard Charlton. They have been featured artists at several International Guitar Festivals and have taught and performed in Argentina, Italy, the UK, Vietnam, New Zealand and the USA.

Janet is currently a PhD Candidate at UNSW researching transcriptions for guitar ensembles. Rachel Scott, as well as being an active performer and presenter, is Education Manager for the Australian Children’s Music Foundation and works closely with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, facilitating interactive concerts and workshops throughout Australia that bring together children and orchestral musicians.
