This saxophone recital showcases the lyrical, exotic and sonorous sounds of the soprano and alto saxophone. The program includes French, Brazilian and Australian music featuring the sax premiere of Ross Edward’s 'Raft Song at Sunrise' (which Edward's has arranged for this concert). Beaugeais will also perform her latest saxophone piece, 'Sounds from Bondi', which she composed specially for her saxophone recital at the Australian Embassy in Zagreb, Croatia. Her piece explores air sound effects and rippling semiquaver passages with circular breathing to imitate the sound and continuous rising motion of the sea waves.
