Following world premiere performances in Strasbourg, Paris and England, Beaugeais's First Light at Uluru for saxophone orchestra has been recomposed for wind symphony, and recreated into a new work of its own. Inspired by the spectacular sunrise over Uluru and the Aboriginal significance and spiritual atmosphere of Australia's iconic landmark, this piece explores beautiful colours and a unique sound world, showcasing the wind symphony in a new and innovative way. A theatrical element will be featured at the premiere.
