Event Details
Brett Dean’s opera, Bliss, turned out in 2010 to be that rare phenomenon: a much anticipated, much talked-about artistic event that lived up to expectations and even surpassed them. Becoming an Australian operatic export at the Edinburgh Festival and in a new production in Hamburg, it roused unusual public interest in Dean’s next creative moves. One of them is the chamber work he is writing for the Australia Ensemble @UNSW in a joint commission with the Nash Ensemble of London and eighth blackbird of Chicago.
