Event Details
The Linus Ensemble presents their Winter 2017 concert series featuring performances by Helen Bower on violin, Luca Vanags-Smith on horn and David Hiscox on piano. The program will include classical favourites such as Beethoven's: Romance 2, Vittorio Monti's Csárdás and Mendelssohn's Lost Illusions as well as a word premiere of Bloom a beautiful work written for the Linus Ensemble by local Australian composer: Katherine Rawlings. The Linus ensemble are also excited to be performing works by local and international contemporary female composers including Elena Kats-Chernin and Lydia Busler.

Elena Kats-Chernin: 1 Hymn and 4 Mostly Unison from Velvet Revolution for violin, horn and piano
Ludwig Van Beethoven: Romance No. 2 in F Major (Op. 50) for violin and piano
Lydia Busler: Moon Lillies for horn and piano
Vittorio Monti: Csárdás for violin and piano
Bernhard Krol: Laudatio for solo horn
Mendelssohn: Lost Illusions for solo piano
Katherine Rawlings: Bloom for violin, horn and piano
