Orbital Waltz : small jazz ensemble
by Keyna Wilkins (2017)
This piece was written with the idea of an orbitting satelite in mind. When Ephemera Trio perform it, it's usually accompanied by projections of a NASA satellite being launched into orbit.
Instrumentation: Jazz standard format - so could be 2-4 instruments including a melody instrument (eg saxophone/trumpet/flute) and a chord instruments (eg piano/guitar).
Duration: 3 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — Mostly straight-forward but some of the demi-semiquaver runs could be challenging.
