Work Overview
This rich choral work, influenced by the early 20th century British composers, revels in the darkening hour of dusk; the crepuscular, elongated shadows, the new sounds that emerge with the coming darkness. Its thick texture and hushed opening reflect the closeness of the night air, and as voices join, the music builds; long legato lines and shifting harmonies surrounding the listener. This work would suit a large tertiary-level or semi-professional symphonic chorus.
