Work Overview

This is a version of my "Three Poems by Gwen Harwood". Due to the neglect of the original I rearranged it for saxophone quartet and concert band, adding many florid revisions, especially for all members of the quartet. It requires a sophisticated musical lyricism.

Instrumentation: Saxophone quartet, concert band: piccolo, 2 flutes, oboe, cor anglais, clarinet in E flat, 3 clarinets in B flat, bass clarinet in B flat, contrabass clarinet, 2 bassoons, 4 trumpets in B flat, 4 horns in F, 3 trombones, euphonium, tuba, timpani, percussion (3 players).

Duration: 17 min.
