An installation of musical games based on the capture of notorious bushranger John Tennant in the Canberra district during the 1820s.
Inside is a collection of musical games and activities. They require performers to think about music in ways they may not be accustomed to. Some of the activities require cues taken from the conductor of each ensemble.

Year: 2010
Instrumentation: The piece is written for four ensembles, each with a separate conductor. Each Ensemble bears the name of a geographic location pertinent to the story: - Ginninderra Ensemble (Mixed Winds) in three parts - two treble parts, one bass part - Duntroon Ensemble (Clarinet Ensemble) in three parts - three Bb clarinet parts - Canberry Ensemble (Saxophone Ensemble) in three parts - one alto part, one alto/tenor part, one tenor/baritone part - Tharwa Ensemble (String Ensemble) in three parts - one violin part, one violin/viola part, one cello/double bass part In addition there is a Narrator and Drum part. The Narrator should be amplified. The Drum part acts as a cue and to keep the Ensembles in time when required. The four Ensembles should be antiphonally placed as indicated in the Score.
