This chamber opera explores IKEA furniture and requires two opera singers to construct a Billy bookcase while singing. The plot follows two siblings building the bookcase for their mother as they comment on IKEA culture and what buying and building furniture represents to them.

Instrumentation: Soprano, mezzo-soprano, percussion (marimba, glockenspiel, three woodblocks, three bells (C, Bb, F), cymbal, and toy piano. Four soft mallets, four hard mallets and two bows are required). An IKEA Billy bookcase is also required for performance.
