This work is a lyrical and lush study in slow dance-like motion. The music unfolds in the strings over low soft chords in the piano and builds to a strong conclusion. The title refers to people who overcome obstacles and achieve their goals in spite of great challenges.
Instrumentation: Violin, viola, cello, piano.
