Work Overview
Medieval Dance Suite is in a Medieval dance music style, making use of compositional devices such as modal tonality, limited melodic range and drone accompaniment. The movements alternate between lively and reflective in mood.
The work was originally composed in 1996 for recorder consort and was rearranged for solo piano in 2000.
