Work Overview
Inspired by Rainer Maria Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet. Selection of text narrated by Miroslav Bukovsky.
The fully notated version of Love in Solitude was written for Ensemble Offspring and commissioned by the Merlyn Myer Composing Women's Commission in 2017. The 'disassembled' version is a reworking for a sextet of improvisers and does not include pre-recorded material. It has been recorded on the album 'Life is Brut[if]al' by Andrea Keller's Five Below. The narration of excerpts of Rainer Maria Rilke's 'Letters to a young poet' are read by Jim Keller.
