Work Overview
This is a setting of two verses from Laurence Binyon's poem For the Fallen, including what has become known as the Ode of Remembrance. It was written as contribution to the commemoration of the end of WW1. It uses thematic material from the Last Post and from the plainsong Dies Irae.
