Work Overview
2020 was an annus horribilis for most of the world, starting with devastating fires in the southern hemisphere, hotly followed by the COVID-19 global pandemic which saw millions of people isolated through illness or attempts to control the spread of infection.
After the Fires was commissioned by Jason Xanthoudakis in the latter part of 2020, and it draws on the contrasting and often contradictory moods we experienced as our lives were thrown into turmoil.
