Work Overview
A work from Don Kay's years of study in London with Malcolm Williamson.
"Also transcribed for flute, clarinet, and piano, like the string quartet, the trio almost had its first performance in the early '60s by the London Contemporary Music Society Trio. I sent the score to them on Malcolm Williamson's advice, but, for unexplained reasons, it was not performed. In three linked sections it applies 12-tone serial techniques in a much stricter manner than the quartet" -- Don Kay.
