Work Overview

I was interested in the general idea of writing a piece consisting of a continuous movement of notes; hence the first three words of the title.

Having completed a sketch, I wrote a ten-bar introduction in which bowed notes are supported by a plucked D-string. The final bar of the introduction comprises a rest. This silence, along with a brief pause in the penultimate bar of the main section, disqualifies the piece's claim to present a continuous movement of notes from start to finish; hence the last word of the title.
