Work Overview

Firestorm was originally composed for button accordion. Firestorm Symphony is an adaption of the earlier work and was orchestrated in 2009. It was inspired by the composer's personal experiences during bush fires in 1994 and 2001 whilst living through the fires in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney where she was residing at the time. The work has been recorded by the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra.
