Work Overview
Margaret Brandman composed this piece specifically for inclusion in a program of her orginal works that she performed at the World Forum concert, held at Oxford University (UK) in August 2012.
This review captures the flavor of the piece:
"My husband and I really enjoyed listening to the piece. We found
it colorful and impressionistic with rich contemporary harmonies
and rhythms. I particularly liked how the use of the wide range
of the piano and the dynamics created a such a rich sound and
relaxing and philosophical mood. It was both peaceful and calm
and yet beautifully emotional." Svetlana P.
Dr Adrienne Wiley, Professor of Piano and
performer from Central Michigan University USA writes: "I just
received this piece and listened right away! It is awesome! Such
beautiful, pianistic, sensitive writing! I am so very, very
grateful to hear such quality music! Thank you for sending this
to me. You have a devoted listener, musician/pianist and fan of
your music and writing!"
