I was asked to write a work in response to "The Creation"... so I went to Twitter and searched "The Creation" and distilled the responses into the text for this work. I loved the "echo of from the invisible world" line that came back, and the work uses a lot of hocket motif as a result.
Instrumentation: Soprano, mezzo-soprano, vibraphone, 2 violins, viola, cello.
Duration: 9 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — Some tricky hocket work in difficult subdivisions
Commission note: This work was commissioned by the St Ives Uniting Church for their "Stations of Creation" events in a project with Dan Walker
