World premiere of Prologue, Night Piece and Blues for Two - Don Banks
Posted by Greg Blackman on 25 March, 2020
Gregory Blackman, clarinet; Nigel Butterley, piano. I had the privelege of giving the world premiere at Sydney's Cell Block Theatre in 1968 with Nigel Butterley pianist and Don Banks present. I have his autographed score to this effect. Greg Blackman.
Selected works for clarinet, 2009
Posted by Australian Music Centre [] on 15 March, 2016
One of the most widely performed Australian clarinet pieces around the world. 1st movement requires rhythmic drive and accuracy, second movement calls for good intonation and musicianship and ability to start notes clearly and softly. 3rd movement is a rhythmically challenging blues. Intermediate difficulty. (Ros Dunlop, 2009)
