Work Overview
This work was composed for the Tasmanian Saxophone Quartet in 1996. It was recorded and released on their CD 'Ride'.
At the time I was composing primarily with twelve tones, developing a style of composition that emphasised form and structure as key elements of my musical style.
In order to keep the original character of the work I have not altered any pitch material in the twelve tone sections, however I have revised the free tonal third 'movement' to make it a more satisfactory contrast to the other 'movements'.
