Work Overview
Was written as a tribute to a remarkable animal who, when the loving family she allowed to look after her moved some hundred or so miles away, turned up on the doorstep of her old home about three months after the new owners took possession. One morning, Rosie sat there, on the front door mat, waiting calmly for a greeting, for food to appear, and things to progress in their usual order, including a dive straight for the lap of the new owner, normally not a great lover of cats. But Rosie, none the worse for her long journey and 'living rough', soon made it clear, in her serene, unruffled way, that she was back in HER home!
