Work

Five Journey into Smooth Space Together : for wind quintet

by Christina Green (2015)

Work Overview

The title of this piece plays on the 'Five' books of Enid Blyton, and is an exploration through the five instrumental voices of processes of transformation that happen in connections with others, as well as the Japanese concept of 'ma' an interval or space between things, here mainly explored in spaces/silences between sound blocs. A French philosopher, an education academic and a group of creative writers also brought inspiration for the piece.
