Work Overview

This sound work uses field recordings taken at or near the sites of three of the significant trees as articulated by Fran Lee. These recordings are then layered with and against distortions and transformations of the original recordings alongside some of the poetry provided by Poets @ Watsonia. Imagining what it might be like to live as long as a tree, relative to humans, the work juxtaposes the cacophonous with the still and peaceful. There are a total of sixteen perspectives, one feed has the work in sequence, the other three in permutations.
