The soprano powerfully sings the poem, the piano and vibraphone play in and out of phase, sometimes, accompanying somtimes taking the lead.

This work explores Middle Eastern modes in a contemporary context. It exloits the unique harmonic and textural possibilites of the vibraphone, piano and soprano in combination.
